Ruth was born in 1967. She lives on a moshav where she draws and paints in a variety of mediums as well as creating mosaics.

Special Projects
2017 Participation in putting up memorial monument in memory of the artists’ village in Sa-Nur in the Shomron.
The monument was created by the artist Chaim Kapchitz and is located in Yad Binyamin.

Artist’s Statement
née: Jerusalem, 1967
Until now, my work has depicted mainly landscapes. I love nature and open spaces, and draw a lot of trees, earth and sky. I use a variety of materials: oil, tempra, acrylic, watercolor and pastel. I also work with charcoal and pencil. Charcoal and pastel are among my favorite mediums because they let me come into direct contact with the materials. I love to be familiar with the various mediums, to know how they were produced and from time to time to prepare them myself. I produce the charcoal from branches. Among the pigments I use, there are pigments that I prepared from earth. I stretch the cloth on the frame and prepare the primary color.
Recently, I’ve set new goals for myself: doing more sketching and painting of inanimate subjects in nature, doing portraits and participating in modern trends that accentuate emotional and intellectual expression.
While sketching and painting, I reach another dimension and experience something spiritual. This brings me closer to myself, as the work connects me with my true being. When I work, I feel calm, tranquility and elevation to a different realm, a realm beyond time and place. It’s an emotional time when I meet my inner self, the world and its Creator.
